Young Professionals Dinner

We are happy to inform you about this year’s Young Professionals Dinner (YPD), which will take place after the poster session on Thursday evening, September 29, 2022.

The YPD is an informal, casual event for networking and getting to know other young professionals in the area of concentrating solar. Be sure to take part in this special event to make the most out of your SolarPACES 2022 networking experience!

Venue

Sawmill Market is an urban market-style venue with a variety of eateries, shops, and bar options located near historic Old Town Albuquerque. The event will be held in the outdoor Yard Expansion at Sawmill Market, which features group seating options and a covered area. Sawmill Market features 27 local merchants as well as vegetarian and vegan options at some food vendors. Attendees will be able to select from all the available food options with vouchers provided by the venue and can choose to individually make additional purchases if they desire.

Registration

Registration is $45 per attendee. To register for the event, please contact Evan Bush (hebush(at)sandia.gov) as soon as possible. Spaces are limited and the total attendee count will need to be provided to the venue in advance of the event. Virtual payment options including Venmo, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and PayPal are accepted.

Please title your email “SolarPACES 2022 YPD Registration” and include your full name; institution; and your preferred payment method. If you have any questions about the event, you may include them in your registration email.

Getting There

Sawmill Market is approximately 2 mi from the Albuquerque Convention Center. Albuquerque Rapid Transit (ART) is providing free bus trips through 10:00 PM (MDT) the day of the event. The ART Downtown Station is a 3 min walk from the convention center (0.2 mi), and the market is a 10 min walk (0.6 mi) from the ABQ Old Town Station. Uber or Lyft are alternative options. Attendees are encouraged to select a bus or ride-share option rather than walking. If you need additional help securing transit to or from the event, please contact Evan Bush.
