Prof. Rafael Guédez is Head of the Heat and Power Technology Division at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. His research focuses on thermal energy systems, industrial process heat, thermal energy storage, and the integration of renewable heat and power technologies. He has coordinated and contributed to numerous European and international research projects on industrial decarbonization and advanced solar-thermal systems. He is a member of the SolarPACES Executive Committee and works closely with industry on the deployment of concentrating solar thermal and hybrid energy systems. His current work emphasizes cost-effective pathways to deep industrial decarbonization through the integration of CST, electrification and thermal energy storage.
