Chris is CEO at Odqa, an Oxford Thermofluids Institute spinout turning sunlight into high temperature industrial heat. Odqa’s air based solar receiver delivers continuous heat up to 800 °C using only sunlight, air, and thermal storage. The technology is built to replace fossil flames in the world’s most carbon-intensive sectors and is ready for deployment. Chris has been working for 15yrs in energy startups and scale ups, bringing groundbreaking technology to market. Before working in energy he worked for Accenture as a sustainability consultant, co-founded an award winning charity and he holds a 1st Class honours degree in Industrial Economics.
