Gregor Bern is Head of the Concentrating Systems and Technologies (CST) group at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE in Freiburg, Germany. He holds a PhD obtained for his work on heliostat control from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technologies. He has more than 14 years of experience focussing on concentrating solar technologies, measurement system development, solar process heat, and industrial decarbonization. His work includes leading national and international research and industry projects and developing innovative solutions for the supply and integration of high-temperature solar process heat in industrial applications.
